Scoring and Results

The MCAT exam scores are released 30-35 days after the completion of the exam. Sectional Scores are being received, as well as a total score is given. The total score is the sum of the three individual section scores. The sections are graded based solely on the number of correct answers, not on the number of incorrect answers. The three initial, raw scores are then converted to scaled scores based on a 15-point scale, with 15 being the highest score. A total, combined score for the three multiple choice sections is also provided.
  • Physical Science, Verbal Reasoning, and Biological SciencesRaw scores for the multiple-choice sections, i.e., Verbal Reasoning, Physical Sciences, and Biological Science will be graded on a scale ranging from 1 (lowest) to 15 (highest). Questions that are left unanswered are classed as an incorrect answer. The total score is computed as the sum of the three individual scores. Each of two MCAT writing samples is graded on a 6-point scale by two different readers.

  • Trial Section
The trail section is not scored.
