Income Support and Bursaries - Canadian Students
The federal and provincial governments earmark funds each year to assist Canadian students overcome the financial need and attend the college or university of their choice. Income Support and Bursaries are granted to needy students on the basis of academic excellence or demonstrated acts of remarkable citizenship.

Canada Student Loans Program
The Canada Student Loans Program provides financial aid in the form of loans and concessions to post-secondary students who demonstrate financial need.

EDC International Studies Scholarship Program
The EDC International Studies Scholarships Program offer scholarships to undergraduate students pursuing studies in business administration or economics, and to graduate students pursuing a Masters of Business Administration degree.
Eligibility Criteria: The participant must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada and currently enrolled in full-time accredited bachelor's degree program (second, third or fourth year) at a Canadian university or college. He/she should have good grades.
Deadlines
The application deadline for EDC's International Business Scholarships is from November to January of each year.

Skills Link Program
The Skills Link program avails youth facing barriers obtain the knowledge and develop the broad range of skills and work experience they need to participate in the job market.
Eligible Criteria: The participant must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, between the ages of 15 to 30, and not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits.

Explore
The Explore program offers bursaries to Canadian students to take part in intensive five-week language-learning courses in English or French at accredited institutions across Canada.
Eligibility Criteria: The participant must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have been enrolled as full-time students for at least one semester during the current academic year or have completed grade 11, or secondaire V in Quebec, or have begun post-secondary studies before the outset of the course.
Deadline: The deadline for submitting applications is February 28 of each year.

Destination Clic
The Destination Clic program offers bursaries to Canadian French speaking students who reside in a province or territory other than Quebec to participate in a three or five-week intensive language-learning course in French at accredited institutions.
Eligibility Criteria: The participant must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, or live in a province or territory other than Quebec, be a French speaking of the ages of 14 and 15 or been enrolled as full-time students for at least one semester during the current academic year.
Deadlines: The deadline for submitting applications is March 15 of each year.

Grant for Students with Dependents
Grant for students with dependants offers financial aid to students with dependent children less than 12 years of age at the period of study commencement date.
Eligibility Criteria: The participant must be Qualified for a Canada Student Loan, or pursuing full-time post-secondary studies leading to an undergraduate degree, certificate, or diploma in a program of study of at least 12 weeks within a 15 week period at a designated post-secondary institution, or have a dependant under 12 years of age at the period of study start date; and are from a low-income family as defined by the Canada Student Loans Program.

Grant for Students from Low-Income Families
Under this grant, students from low-income households who qualify for a federal student loan and meet the specific grant eligibility requisites will receive $250 per month of study for all years of a university undergraduate, college, or trade school program.
Eligibility Criteria: One must be from a low income family as determined by the Canada student loans program and pursuing a full time post secondary studies leading to an undergraduate degree, diploma or certificate in a program of studies of at least two years’ duration at a designated post secondary institution.

Grant for Students from Middle-Income Families
Under this grant, students from middle-income households who meet the requirement for a federal student loan and qualify the specific grant eligibility requirements is given $100 per month of study for all years of a university undergraduate, college or trade school program.
Eligibility Criteria: The participant must be qualified for a Canada Student Loan, or from a middle-income household as determined by the Canada Student Loans Program and pursuing full-time post-secondary studies leading to an undergraduate degree, certificate, or diploma in a program of studies of at least two years' duration at a designated post-secondary institution.

Grant for Part-time students with dependents
Any part time students with kids upto 12 years of age are eligible for $40 per week of study, aand part-time students with three or more children may be eligible for $60 per week of study.
Eligibility Criteria: The students must be qualified for a Canada Student Loan, or enrolled part-time in a program lasting at least 12 weeks within a 15-week period at a designated post-secondary institution, or have a dependant under 12 years of age at the period of study start date; and indicate a financial need in excess of the Grant for Part-Time Studies (maximum $1,200) and have borrowed at least $4,000 in Canada Student Loans.

According to this grant, part-time students may be eligible for up to $1,200 per academic year.
Eligibility Criteria: The students must be qualified for a Canada Student Loan, or enrolled part-time in a program lasting at least 12 weeks within a 15-week period at a designated post-secondary institution and be from a low-income family as defined by the Canada Student Loans Program.

The Skills Development program offers financial support for skills training to Employment Insurance eligible individuals.
- Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)
The Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) lets individuals to withdraw funds from their registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs) to finance training or education for themselves or their spouse or common-law partner.
- Apprenticeship Incentive Grant
The Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG) is a taxable cash grant available to registered apprentices once they have successfully completed their first or second year (level) of an apprenticeship program in one of the Red Seal trades.
