Canada is a country in North America rated as second largest country in the world. Its’ geographic boundary stretches between Atlantic Ocean in the east to the Pacific Ocean in the West and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Aboriginal people occupied Canada for centuries. Around 1000, Vikings people settled in Newfoundland. In the early seventeenth century French and British people started reaching to Atlantic coast. Canada was found in 1763 with the emergence of British dominion colonial power. Later, Canada was established as a British North American colony in 1867.

Canada gained independence from the United Kingdom in an incremental process that ended in 1982. It remains a Commonwealth Realm with Queen Elizabeth II as its Head Of State.  Canada is a federal constitutional monarchy with parliamentary democracy. Canada is a bilingual and multicultural country comprises of three territories and ten provinces. French and English are official languages at federal level.

Canada also has good relationships with France and United Kingdom.

Since 1990, Canada is a member of Organization of American State (OAS). Canada was host of OAS General Assembly in Windsor in June 2000 and third Summit of Americas in Quebec City in April 2001.  In February 2007, Canada, Italy, Britain, Norway, and Russia together announced a $1.5 billion project to save lives in poor nations and invite other nations to join them.

Canada is a leading exporter of wheat grains and other agricultural products. Canada is rich in under earth resources like aluminum, gold, nickel, lead, zinc and uranium. Southern Ontario and Quebec are the industrial places where automobiles and aeronautics industries are flourishing.

The summer and winter temperature in Canada varies greatly. The average winter temperature in places like Prairie Provinces stays around –15 degrees Celsius and sometimes drop below –40 degree Celsius. The climate in British Columbia is temperate.  The average maximum temperature on the west and east coast stays around 20 degrees Celsius; the average maximum temperature in summers in coastal areas varies at 25 - 30 degree Celsius but occasionally reaches to 40 degree Celsius.

The Canadian culture is a mix of American, Aboriginal, British and French cultures at large.
